The Palace at Knossos in Crete by Matthew Verdier
This is Matthew Verdier's reconstruction of the Minoan Palace at Knossos in Crete. It was constructed about 1700 B.C. and was destroyed about 200 years later probably by the great volcanic eruption on the island of Thera (Santorini) that ended the Minoan civilization.
Here is another view form the back.
Here is another entry from Matthew Verdier. It is a model of the Osirieon an enigmatic Egyptian structure thought to have been used by the cult of Osiris.
Pryamids, by their geometrical nature, are easy to build in LEGO. But Matthew made this pyramid more interesting by adding a work crew who are the process of constructing the pyramid.
